Vitapro's brand Salmofood, in collaboration with Cooke Aquaculture Chile S.A., has introduced 'RAW', a new premium diet for organic salmon, developed in the South American country. This new formula emphasizes organic plant ingredients, sustainable marine sources, and natural additives.

Moreover, Salmofood obtained ASC Feed certification for its production plant in Castro, Chiloé Island, Los Lagos Region. This achievement adds to other recognitions such as GLOBAL G.A.P., Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP), RTRS Chain of Custody (Round Table on Responsible Soy), and Huella Chile.

"This achievement reaffirms our purpose of leading in practices that protect the environment and promote the well-being of communities and natural resources. The ASC Feed certification is not only a milestone for us but also a testament to our long-term commitment to sustainability," assured Business Manager of Vitapro Chile, Francisco Valdés.

Additionally, Ramiro Larios, Country Manager of Vitapro Chile, said: "I want to express my sincere appreciation to the entire Salmofood team for their dedication and effort. I am incredibly proud to see how a committed team, working together, overcomes challenges and reaches such important goals."

In March 2024, Cooke Chile announced the launch of the country's first certified organic salmon cycle. This marked a milestone in the history of the Canadian-owned company but of the Chilean salmon industry as a whole.
