Norway's North Atlantic Seafood Forum (NASF), which describes itself as "the world’s largest top executive seafood business conference" has opened registration for its next installment taking place 4-6 March 2025, which will also see the conference celebrate its 20th anniversary.
Held in the Norwegian city of Bergen each year during the first week of March, the event brings together over 900 seafood industry representatives, including CEOs, experts, investors and analysts, for a 3-day program covering over 20 different sessions.
The goal, according to the organizers, "is to keep the top tiers of the seafood industry updated on markets, technology, sustainability and industry challenges", and the event will feature an range of expert speakers, expected to share insights into "vital developments shaping the future of the industry, news and development within innovation and commercial development, and an in-depth understanding of the financial and economic issues affecting the market".
The first day of the conference will focus on technology, and will feature over 50 different companies, research institutions and various technology providers presenting their solutions and services. The second day of the conference focuses on business, covering strategy, species, markets and sustainability, followed by a final day focused on investors, bringing together seafood investors and industry professionals through dedicated investor sessions.
"The city of Bergen has been in the fish trade business since 1360, and at NASF we literally meet on the same premises as our fish-exporting ancestors. Bergen hosts a wide array of companies related to the seafood industry together with research institutes and teaching facilities – so Bergen is in so many ways the natural seafood business capital of Norway," the organizers state.
