AquaFarm 2026 has over 100 exhibitors, and 30% of them are international companies.
The international trade show and conference dedicated to aquaculture, sustainable fishing, and seaweed production, AquaFarm 2026, will celebrate its ninth edition on February 18–19 in Pordenone, in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region of northeastern Italy.
The conference and workshop program will primarily focus on the role of aquaculture in the conservation and management of aquatic resources, the development of non-“monoculture” aquaculture, including the emergence of integrated multitrophic farms and regenerative aquaculture.
Additionally, attention will be given to topics related to emerging technologies, including robotics and artificial intelligence (AI), to precision feeding and closed-loop systems, as well as the management and control of invasive species.
The facilities prepared for the occasion will showcase all the latest innovations and next-generation solutions in the sector, including an area dedicated to universities and research centers for displaying scientific posters, as well as the Arena AquaFarm, an open space designed for the continuous presentation of funded research projects and self-managed workshops by companies and associations.
Finally, AlgaeFarm, created in 2021, will serve as the thematic area dedicated to microalgae, covering the cultivation, processing, and use of both algae and microalgae, and has established itself as one of the event’s key highlights.
AquaFarm was launched in 2017 and now hosts more than 100 exhibitors, with foreign companies accounting for 30% of the total. It has become one of the most important events in Europe and is the only trade fair in Italy dedicated to the aquaculture, shellfish farming, and sustainable fishing sectors.
