June is shaping up to be another very busy month in the world of aquaculture, seafood, seaweed and the wider blue economy.

Kicking off on June 5, RASTECH 2024 is an international conference and trade fair that serves owners and operators of Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) technology. This includes RAS fish farmers and producers, fish hatchery professionals, engineers, contractors, consultants, researchers and investors in RAS.

AquaNext, a premier exhibition and conference event for the Norwegian aquaculture sector, will showcase the latest advancements in aquaculture technology. The event will feature cutting-edge solutions, conferences, and seminars, including topics like aquaculture technology, fish health, and future raw materials. Over 80 companies will present their innovations, aiming to address industry challenges and future directions. This high-level gathering will showcase the prototype European Digital Twin of the Ocean (DTO), as an additional asset to drive applications and solutions for ocean resource management, ocean and climate change, the green transition and sustainable operations for the blue economy.
The event will bring together experts from European Marine Observation and Data Network (EMODnet), Copernicus Marine Service, policymakers, European projects, wider stakeholders and interested citizens to take part in the co-design and co-creation of the European DTO. Organised by the Spanish Society of Aquaculture (SEA) and University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC), the 2024 edition of this important national conference will showcase ULPGC's strengths in aquaculture, emphasizing sustainable and cutting-edge practices.
