AQUASUR Chile: more than 250 national and international exhibitors from 35 different countries

AQUASUR 2022, largest Southern Hemisphere aquaculture fair, is being held in Puerto Montt, Chile, till the 4th of March. The XI edition aims to analyze the great challenges of the sector, promote its development and publicize the new technologies for a sustainable industry.

More than 10,000 people will participate in the event and more than 1,000 brands will be presented. Also, the fair is featuring more than 250 national and international exhibitors. They come from Norway, Spain, the United States, Canada, Denmark, China, Japan, Korea, France and Portugal, among other invited countries.

"It is very important to communicate the advances in technology, regulation, innovation and consumption of our aquaculture products and to address the challenges that the industry faces," Fishery and Aquaculture subsecretary of Chile, Alicia Gallardo said today in her first appearence.

Besides, AQUASUR 2022 seeks to promote economic reactivation, enhance the sustainability of the industry and contribute to local and national development, through the generation of business opportunities and creation of direct and indirect jobs that occur around the fair.
