ISO 45001 promotes the protection of physical and mental health

Biomar Grangemouth has received the ISO 4500, an international standard for occupational health and safety. It is designed to reduce injuries and the spread of diseases among employees in the workplace. Including the promotion and protection of physical and mental health.

Through this, the company confirms its commitment to keeping its employees, visitors, and contractors safe. As well as reflecting the high standards of people management and process control already in place.

In the same line, HSE Manager, Kevin Moran said: "This is a fantastic team achievement. It is the result of several months of preparation and an intensive audit process. I'd like to thank colleagues in the company for recognizing the importance of the process. As well as for their help in demonstrating the control measures in place."

In addition, Susan Campbell, HR director added: "The global pandemic has caused and continues to cause significant challenges to our operations. This, alongside the more operational control of Health and Safety, has been a key focus point as we continue to invest in our workforce. I'm proud that the company has attained the international standard."

BioMar UK is part of the Danish headquartered BioMar group which is focused on providing high quality, sustainable nutrition for aquaculture industries across the world.

The company recently launched the Integrated Sustainability Report, which reflects its ambition to reduce GHG emissions by one-third by 2030.
