Loreto Seguel King, former president of the SEP Public Companies System, will assume December 1, the leadership of the salmon farming union. Joanna Davidovich, who spent two and a half years as the executive director, joins the board. The Salmon Council is a union made up of the companies AquaChile, Australis, Cermaq, Mowi, and Salmones Aysén, which represent more than 50% of the national production.
Therefore, its objective is to unite the efforts of associated companies to promote the sustainable development of productive activity competitively, inserted in the communities, with quality jobs, maintaining and promoting business integrity, good practices productive, environmental and labor, with innovation and high standards in caring for the environment.
Loreto Seguel is a civil engineer and Master of Engineering Sciences from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She has more than 20 years of work experience, both in the public and private sectors. Until March 2022, she was president of the SEP Public Companies System. Her career includes having been minister of the National Women's Service, undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development, and director of public and private companies. In addition, she has been a founding partner of various ventures related to production issues.
During her career, she has received various awards, among which are 100 leading women in 2021, 2013, 2012, and 2005; Endeavor Entrepreneur in 2006; 100 Young Leaders in 2006. Finally, Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2005.
