Kraken Robotics appoints David Shea as its new CTO

Kraken Robotics announced that David Shea, the current Executive Vice President (EVP) of Products, has been appointed as the company's Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Shea has been with Kraken for over a decade and has been leading the company's engineering, product development and research and development in various roles, starting as the Senior Vice President of Engineering and later as the EVP of Products.

In his new role, David Shea will continue to provide technical leadership, strategy and vision as the company moves into its next phase of growth. "Over the past ten years, we have assembled a talented global team of world-class engineers, scientists, technicians and technologists who are developing and delivering some of the most advanced subsea imaging solutions in the world", he said.

As mentioned, the company expects him to lead the execution of Kraken's cutting-edge technology and product development. "David's expertise in ocean technology, experience in product development, and leadership of our engineering teams provides valuable support to Kraken in continuing our mission of developing unique subsea intelligence solutions for clients to overcome the challenges in our oceans – safely, efficiently, and sustainably", Kraken's President and CEO, Greg Reid, said.
