Danish RAS technology supplier Assentoft Aqua has secured an important contract from Blue Aqua International for a 3,000 metric ton RAS facility in Singapore, the company has announced.

In a LinkedIn post, CEO of Assentoft Aqua Asia Matthew Tan announced the contract, and shared some details and photos of the construction site, where initial works are now underway.

"This exciting project for our customer Blue Aqua International will play a key role in supporting Singapore’s 30 30, part of our Green Plan 2030 for a more resilient food future," Tan wrote.

"Just visited the work site with our sub-contractor this morning, where excavation has recently begun," he added.

Founded in 2017, Assentoft Aqua is a Danish aquaculture engineering company specialising in recirculating aquaculture systems.

The Danish RAS specialist expanded into Singapore in 2020, and has already been working with Blue Aqua International on the development of Singapore’s "first high-tech fish farm", focused on rainbow trout and aiming to produce 2,110 tonnes of fish per year once fully operational.

Established in 2009, Blue Aqua International is one of Singapore's leading aquaculture companies which, in addition to farming shrimp and trout, also provides technology and services to the aquaculture industry within Singapore.
