The technology company Innovex has installed a new 3,100-liter oceanographic buoy at the "Chauco" farming center, located on Chiloé Island, Chile.
This buoy is equipped with state-of-the-art sensors to monitor parameters such as oxygen, temperature, salinity, turbidity, chlorophyll, pH, depth (with Seabird sensors), and the measurement of current speed and direction at multiple layers. Additionally, it will feature a surface weather station.
The new equipment complies with the Oceanographic Buoy Standard 3408 and is designed to withstand extreme conditions. It is the company's 21st buoy and the 7th buoy in the Oceanographic Buoy Program for Aquaculture Zones.
This project is part of Innovex's Oceanographic Buoy Division and is specifically designed to endure harsh environmental conditions.
Innovex develops technological solutions for aquaculture. Specializing in continuous data recording from various devices or sensors, this data is stored and/or transmitted in real-time to the DataWeb platform.
It is also an expert in process automation, tailored to regulate specific parameters, specially designed for aquaculture. Innovex manufactures sensors, software, telemetry, and hardware to provide integrated, turnkey solutions to its clients.
Some of its clients include AquaChile, Australis Seafoods, Blumar, and Cermaq.
