The technology company based in Drammen (Buskerud County, Norway), Dynamic FishEye, has signed an agreement with Samherji Fiskeldi to supply the complete feeding system for its Salmon Garden project in Reykjanes – phase 1, with an option for a second phase.
According to Dynamic FishEye, the facility will be fully automated and include mechanical components supplied by Helland Silosystemer. This ensures efficient material flow, precise feeding, and seamless integration with other systems.
In April, Samherji Fish Farming confirmed it completed the financing for Phase 1 of its Salmon Garden, securing EUR 235 million, and that the equity round would be upsized due to growing investor interest.
Three months later, the company announced that, due to the success among investors, the capital raised had increased to EUR 210 million from the initial EUR 125 million, which will allow it to build the facility faster than expected.
Salmon Garden is expected to generate around 100 new jobs and will operate on 100% renewable energy. The goal is to produce up to 30,000 tons of HOG of salmon per year when the facility reaches full capacity.
Additionally, Samherji submitted an environmental report to the Reykjanes municipality, where it plans to build the land-based salmon facility next to the Reykjanes Geothermal Power Plant, operated by HS Orka.
"We look forward to contributing our expertise in automation and system design, and to helping set a new standard for sustainable aquaculture in Europe," reads a statement from Dynamic FishEye.
