AquaFarm, an international event focused on aquaculture and sustainable fishing, opens its doors today and tomorrow, February 14-15 at Pordenone Fiere, emphasizing innovation, sustainability, and research within the sector.

Organized in collaboration with the Italian Fish Farmers Association (API), the Mediterranean Aquaculturists Association (AMA), and Studio Comelli – Conferences & Communication, the event highlights the aquaculture industry's growth and its challenges, including technical, biological, environmental, economic, and social factors.

This year's conference will feature discussions on technological advancements that optimize the supply chain, the role of artificial intelligence and data analysis in enhancing efficiency, and sustainable practices in feed production.

Key topics also include the regulation of fishing waste, the exploration of new ingredients for fish feed, and the latest research on animal welfare and the use of fish skin in medical therapies.

AquaFarm, which has seen significant growth since its inception in 2017, offers a comprehensive program of conferences and workshops, with the last edition recording a 62% increase in growth from 2022 and a 25% increase from the last pre-COVID edition.

The event, boasting 130 exhibitors with 35% international participation and almost 7,000 m2 of exhibition area, welcomes attendees for free upon online registration at www.aquafarmexpo.it.
