Norcod has appointed seafood industry communications heavyweight Chris Guldberg as its new Chief Communications Officer.
Guldberg brings a diverse skillset to the table, encompassing strategic and operational expertise in communications, international branding, marketing, sustainability, investor relations, and capital markets.
He is also deeply familiar with Norway's seafood industry, having previously held senior communications roles at the Norwegian Seafood Council and SINTEF.
In addition, he brings valuable experience from other sectors, most recently working as Director of Sustainability, Communications, and Marketing at Norsk helsenett, an ICT company supplying digital services and infrastructure to the health sector.
Guldberg will officially begin work as Chief Communications Officer at Norcod in April 2024. However, the new executive's responsibilities at the Norwegian cod producer will extend beyond communications, incorporating organizational and commercial development to optimize the company for profitable growth.
"Norcod has transitioned from proof-of-concept to industrial-scale production of sustainable, premium cod. In this crucial phase of our growth, Guldberg will play a pivotal role in building the market and cod category," said Christian Riber, Norcod's CEO.

Assuming his new role in April, Guldberg says he is enthusiastic about returning to the seafood industry, and particularly to Norcod.
