A month ago, the OCNARK team attended the Vietshrimp Asia and Aquaculture Vietnam Expo and Forum in Ho Chi Minh City.
The Spanish Aquaculture Society (SEA), which serves as a common forum for the aquaculture sector in Spain by bringing together researchers, professionals, and companies within the industry, has confirmed that OCNARK has joined as an institutional member.
OCNARK (Ocean-Ark) is an Australian company headquartered in Melbourne. It is a global aquaculture consulting and innovation firm whose mission is to transform the sector towards more sustainable, technology-driven, and efficient models.
In 2025, the Naval and Marine Technology Center (CTN) and the consultancy signed a collaboration agreement to develop R&D and innovation projects focused on the Mediterranean area and the APAC region (Asia, Australia, and the Pacific).
OCNARK would act as a strategic partner and official collaborator in the region, while the dissemination of its services and products will be promoted in Europe—particularly in Spain—with CTN playing a similar role.
Moreover, a year ago, the Albanese Labor Government reaffirmed its intention to develop a new national food security strategy to strengthen the security and resilience of Australia’s agriculture and food production supply chains.
"With a growing presence in Spain, they aim to contribute to the ecosystem by sharing expertise, connecting key industry stakeholders, and supporting the development of new projects and collaborations. Keep an eye on OCNARK… they are working on something that seeks to take collaboration and innovation in aquaculture to the next level," SEA commented in a LinkedIn post.
