Optimar to provide electric systems to Spanish fish farms

The agreement has been signed by Optimar Spain SAU and the business association of aquaculture in Spain, APROMAR.

APROMAR

APROMAR has signed a contract with the Spanish arm of Optimar AS on the first day of the Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global celebrated in Barcelona from 23-25 April 2024.

The Managing Director of APROMAR, Javier Ojeda Gonzalez-Posada, and VP of Aqua Optimar at Optimar AS, Hans Owen Thunen, have closed the agreement to validate an electric stunning system for giltheads, seabass, and seabream raised in Spanish Mediterranean farms.

In addition, the Spanish Aquaculture Association has confirmed on its LinkedIn profile that it is developing best practice guides for each of the species.
