Salmon Evolution has released its operational update for the fourth quarter, closing 2024 with strong operational and financial results.
The land-based hybrid flow-through farmer harvested 1,729 tonnes HOG in Q4, with an average harvest weight of approximately 3.8 kg HOG - a 15% increase from the previous quarter. This included 105 tonnes live weight from post smolt, and brought the full-year harvest volume to 4,891 tonnes HOG, including post smolt, the company said, in an Oslo Stock Exchange update.
The company highlighted strong feeding and biomass gains, particularly in November and December, as key drivers of its operational performance in the fourth quarter.
Among the Q4 highlights were an all-in price realization of approximately NOK 82 (approx. EUR 7.0 / USD 7.2) per kilogram of harvested fish, and a superior share grade of 95%, reflecting excellent product quality, the company said.
Salmon Evolution achieved biomass production of 1,518 tonnes LW, the second-highest on record and an 11% quarter-over-quarter increase, and ended Q4 with a standing biomass of 2,023 tonnes LW.
“Salmon Evolution achieved significant milestones in 2024 with solid growth in harvest volumes and strong operational progress through the year”, CEO Trond Håkon Schaug-Pettersen said in a press release.
“We are especially proud of our excellent biological results, introducing a new standard of salmon farming and giving us a great momentum going into 2025”, he added.
