Scotland-based fish health technology specialist WellFish Tech has appointed Hilde R. Storhaug as the new director of its Norwegian business, the company has announced.
Storhaug brings plenty of experience in the Norwegian aquaculture industry to her new role at WellFish, having most recently held the post of Chief Sustainability Officer at Norcod since 2020. She was also Norcod CEO for eight months before Christian Riber took over the role.
Prior to her roles in Norcod, Storhaug worked for Kontali as an analyst specializing in aquaculture, and also previously worked for Mowi (then Marine Harvest) as a biology coordinator.
Announcing her appointment in LinkedIn, Storhaug said "The Norwegian market is of great importance, and I am honored to lead our efforts here."

Veterinarian Katrina MacNeill joins WellFish Tech's team based in Canada.

The fish health company has also announced it has hired veterinarian Katrina MacNeill for its North America team.
"Katrina brings extensive expertise in land-based, hatchery, and production veterinary care, adding tremendous value to our team as we continue driving success in aquaculture health," WellFish Tech said in a LinkedIn announcement.
"In response to increasing demand from our Canadian clients, we’re also offering aquaculture veterinary consulting services for both researchers, and producers . This will allow us to deliver even deeper insights and enhanced support to our partners in the industry," the company added.
Founded in 2021 by Prof. Brian Quinn, Professor of ecotoxicology at the University of the West of Scotland, WellFish Tech is headquartered in Paisley, Scotland, with branches in Laksevag, Norway and Prince Edward Island, Canada.
