AquaChile has invested 355 million CLP on community issues during 2021. In addition, the company had 5,200 direct employees, 89% of whom live in the same region where they work. While indirect employment amounted to 3,458 people. Further, the company’s supplier companies in Chile created 2,310 jobs.

The Chilean company prepared five reports. The first one focuses on national matters and the others on the four most relevant regions where it operates: La Araucanía, Los Lagos, Aysén, and Magallanes. Thereby, it wants to show the contribution in labor, economic matters, and community investment made in the regions where it carried out its production activities in 2021.

In more detail, community work lines of action were: local development, education, healthy living, environment and sustainability, Covid-19 support, and a link plan.

In a press release, Francisco Sandoval, Communities Manager of AquaChile, said: “We believe that information transparency is essential. With these reports, we seek to show the different positive impacts that AquaChile’s activity has on our country. As a company, we are committed to constantly advancing in best practices and contributing to the development of southern Chile.”
