The air compressor manufacturer Sprintex Limited has signed an exclusive three-year private-label supply agreement with Guangdong Baode Technology Co., Ltd. (BD Compressor), a Chinese supplier of aeration equipment for the aquaculture sector.
This marks the first time the Australian company has signed a private-label agreement, and its exclusivity applies only to China's pond-based aquaculture sector, which will allow for future expansion of its presence in the Chinese market.
The agreement includes a minimum purchase commitment for G15 series jet blowers, with a total contract value of AUS 9.3 million (¥44.08 million RMB). Additionally, the minimum order commitment for the upcoming first quarter is AUS 320,000.
BD Compressor was established in 2016 and employs 200 people. Its products include screw compressors, air compressor machines, precision filters, and refrigerated dryers. Additionally, its location in Guangdong Province is ideal for serving the aquaculture market.
According to Sprintex, China's aquaculture industry is valued at over US$200 billion annually, making it the world's largest by both value and volume. South China and particularly Guangdong Province are the country's leading aquaculture-producing region, contributing over 50% of national output.
"With BD's established reputation and national network, alongside Sprintex's leading technology offering, this partnership is anticipated to deliver thousands of units into the Chinese aquaculture sector and considerable environmental and cost-saving benefits," commented Sprintex Managing Director Jay Upton.
