Indian aquaculture startup AquaExchange has raised $8 million through a Series B funding round, the company said in a LinkedIn post confirming local media reports about the deal.
The funding round was co-led by Endiya Partners, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Hyderabad, and Factor Analytics, a venture investment firm that backs technology and data-driven startups.
The round also included participation from Accion Venture Lab, the venture capital arm of the global nonprofit Accion International, while sustainable blue economy investment firm Ocean 14 Capital - which led AquaExchange's Series A round in 2024, raising $6 million - continued its support for the company.
In its announcement, AquaExchange thanked farmers, partners and investors for their support. Describing the funding as a "milestone" but "not a finish line", the company wrote that it will continue to focus on building technology aimed at improving outcomes for aquaculture farmers and modernising the global aquaculture and animal protein value chain.
Founded in 2020 by Pavan Kosaraju, AquaExchange develops digital tools designed to support shrimp and fish farmers. Its platform combines data analytics with IoT devices to monitor farm operations and connect farmers with services such as financing, input procurement and harvest sales.
The company says its technology is used in farms representing around 12% of India’s shrimp farming industry, according to its profile on Ocean 14 Capital’s portfolio website.
