Mark Foods has announced the acquisition of Endeavor Seafood, a Newport, Rhode Island-based importer and marketer of premium frozen seafood products.

In 2021, the U.S.-based company made an equity investment in Endeavor, a partnership that has now culminated in the full integration of the business into its operations. Through this acquisition, Mark Foods expands both its team and its portfolio of seafood products.

Endeavor’s founders, Mike Bush, Todd Clark, and George Souza, had previously held senior seafood sourcing positions at some of the country’s leading food companies. George Souza, who is approaching retirement, has confirmed that he will continue supporting Mark Foods in an advisory capacity.

This experience enabled them to found the company in 2001 with a deep understanding of their customers' key needs, including the importance of product specifications, supply continuity, sustainability, and on-time deliveries.

"Since our initial investment in 2021, we have seen firsthand the talent, dedication, and quality this team brings. Fully integrating the business was a natural next step that will allow Mark Foods to better serve our customers and continue to expand our seafood offerings," said Mark Foods CEO Barry Markman.

In July 2025, Mark Foods also confirmed the acquisition of the Maine-based company known for its premium scallops and groundfish, Bristol Seafood. The Bristol brand remained, and its employees will join the Mark Foods team. At the same time, production capacity and market presence in the U.S. will be increased.

Finally, the company has also made strategic investments in Bristol Seafood (2025), Arista Industries’ Seafood Division (2023), and Openwater Seafoods (2021).
