Former Irvin and Johnson (I&J) executive Ralph Buddle has been announced as interim CFO of Oceana Group, according to a statement from the company. Previous CFO, Hajra Karrim, was placed on a “precautionary” suspension earlier in February.

This came after Oceana delayed publication of its annual results on several occasions. Also, CEO Imraan Soomra, resigned shortly. Both departures joined Oceana’s delays in latest financial results because several “queries” were raised by a whistleblower. The company was forced to undertake an independent investigation.

Along with financial roles at I&J, Ralph Buddle also worked as a senior finance executive and director of business development and strategy at Woolworths Holdings Limited.
