Red Lobster is seeking a new CEO after Kelli Valade officially stepped down spending just eight months in the role. Thai Union-owned, Red Lobster, is the largest seafood restaurant chain in the United States.

Valade, who joined in August 2021, created a new strategic framework for the restaurant chain. Further, she built out the executive team. And so, she added the newly-created roles of Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Information Officer. Also, she stood for the recruiting of a new Chief Financial Officer.

“We’ve accomplished a lot in a short period of time, including building a great leadership team that alongside the board will carry the business forward to achieve our vision,” said Valade in a statement. “I have truly loved my time here at Red Lobster. This was an incredibly difficult, but necessary, decision.”
