Thai Union's John West brand has launched its new ECOTWIST John West Tuna campaign, based on fully recyclable packaging. This campaign has been backed with a £5 million investment and targets audiences across social media, YouTube, TV, BVOD, and retail media.

The company has developed a new can and packaging to reduce the amount of plastic wrap, paper labels, and metal, without compromising on the quality and quantity of fish. It's as simple as twisting the can, recycling, and enjoying the product.

In addition, each ECOTWISTⓇ has a code that allows its origin and full traceability to be verified. This supports John West's commitment to providing trust and transparency to its consumers.

In July 2024, Thai Union Group partnered with Aligned Incentives to develop an advanced analytical foundation to achieve corporate sustainability goals and to promote responsibly sourced seafood products.

Along the same line, Thai Union launched the SeaChange® 2030 strategy through which it has invested 200 million USD to reduce Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions by 42% by 2030 and achieve net zero by 2050.
