Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) and Great British Chefs have partnered to launch a new campaign aimed at raising awareness of the BAP label among chefs and consumers.

Announced by the Global Seafood Alliance (GSA), the campaign features recipes made with seafood from five BAP-certified producers: Hiddenfjord, I.D.I. Corp, Kilic Seafood, The Kingfish Company, and Regal Springs Tilapia.

Through a series of educational and cooking videos, award-winning chef Jude Kereama, owner of Kota Kai in Cornwall, UK, shares simple recipes using responsibly farmed seafood and more refined dishes designed to inspire professional chefs and the foodservice industry.

"By partnering with Great British Chefs and Chef Jude Kereama, we are creating content that not only inspires people to cook seafood but also helps them understand what the BAP label represents and the rigorous standards behind it," said Elise Avallon, Marketing Director at GSA.

In addition, the chef highlighted: "Sourcing responsible fish and seafood is extremely important, and it is great to have a certification like BAP for aquaculture and farmed seafood. The Yellowtail Kingfish and King Tilapia I worked with as part of this campaign are excellent products."

Finally, BAP has released a Chef's Guide to BAP to help culinary professionals better understand the program and more easily source certified seafood products.

The initiative will run throughout the summer and will be available on the Great British Chefs website and across the social media channels of BAP and Great British Chefs.
