The biotechnology company HIPRA has announced a strategic alliance with the Argentine independent laboratory LLAMAS Laboratorios to strengthen and optimize diagnostic services for animal production in the Latin American region.
Thanks to this alliance, the range of available analyses will be expanded, improving results and reducing waiting times and the economic losses associated with them. Also, methods for preventing infectious diseases will be enhanced.
LLAMAS Laboratorios, for its part, will contribute high technological expertise and its experience in the Argentine market, while HIPRA will complement the alliance with its technological and scientific capabilities in the field of vaccines.
To help achieve aquaculture goals, HIPRA offers its ICTHIOVAC vaccine range and the Autovaccine Service to provide tailored solutions, all supported by the Diagnostic Service.
The collaboration between these two companies is "a positive example of cooperation, respectful of all market players, open to future collaborations with third parties, and clearly aimed at benefiting veterinary professionals," states a press release.
In 1971, a group of young entrepreneurs acquired a small laboratory in Madrid, founded in 1954, called HIPRA, and moved it to Amer (Girona).
Starting in 2000, HIPRA began its international expansion by establishing subsidiaries around the world. Currently, HIPRA has commercial subsidiaries in 40 countries, 3 research centers, and 6 production plants strategically located in Europe and America.
HIPRA performs approximately 600,000 serological analyses, 80,000 molecular analyses, and 10,000 microbiological and parasitological analyses annually, among other specialized services.
