Experienced aquaculture executive Kristine Langaunet has joined Norway's AKVA group as Director of Product, according to a post she shared on LinkedIn.
Langaunet previously worked as a Senior Sales Executive at aquaculture AI firm Tidal since 2025, and, prior to that, spent 8 years working for BioMar including as Head of Product Marketing Salmon.
Announcing her new position, Langaunet noted, "Some career moves are carefully planned. Others happen because an opportunity appears that feels too exciting not to explore," and added she was looking forward to taking on a new global role and working with the AKVA Digital team to continue developing products for the aquaculture industry.
“A big thank you to everyone at Tidal. I’ve had the opportunity to work with talented colleagues, innovative customers, and projects that are helping shape the future of aquaculture. For that, I’m grateful,” she wrote.
AKVA group provides technology and services to the global aquaculture industry, with three main business areas comprising sea-based infrastructure and technologies, land-based post-smolt and grow-out systems, and digital tools including biological Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and AI-based feeding technology.
In April, the Rogaland-headquartered technology group announced it was launching a strategic review, due for completion in the autumn of 2026, that could lead to a sale of the company or another corporate transaction. In its Q1 results presentation, AKVA said the early phase of the review had attracted “high-quality interest”, with attention focused on a possible sale of the whole company as a platform.
