The Peruvian Deputy Minister of MYPE and Industry from the Ministry of Production (PRODUCE), César Quispe Luján, has announced that in December, the Agroindustrial Center for Productive Innovation and Technological Transfer (CITE) in Pichari will be transformed into a Productive CITE.

This transformation will help strengthen the aquaculture chain, promoting the region's productive capacity and economic development, a goal set by the government led by President Dina Boluarte.

All CITEs are affiliated with the Technological Institute of Production to promote technological innovation, fostering applied research, specialization, technological transfer, and the dissemination of technological knowledge in each production chain.

There are also CITE Pesquero, aimed at productive innovation and technology transfer in fisheries. For example, the one in Piura enhances the skills of fishermen, boat owners, dockworkers, and other sector actors.
