Grip Marine, a 3,300 cubic meter live fish carrier operating in Chile, is one of the vessels in the Trident Aqua Services fleet.
Trident Aqua Services is the new name adopted by the merger of three leading maritime service providers Aquaship, Intership and FSV, the Norway-headquartered group has announced.
The new entity is launched following a series of mergers over the past two years. Maritime vessel firm AquaShip AS and wellboat company Intership AS announced their merger in December 2023, and followed that up with the acquisition of FSV Group one year later.
This boosted the group's fleet of vessels from 39 to 60, which include live fish transport, service vessels, feed carriers and harvest vessels. The company says that it has eight additional vessels under construction, and employs an international workforce of more than 1,000 people, operating in Norway, Chile, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, and the Faroe Islands.
"Our new name reflects strength, unity, and the sea," wrote Arild Aasmyr, CEO of FSV, in a LinkedIn post announcing the rebranding, adding, "Our mission remains the same - raising industry standards through elite expertise, purpose-driven innovation, and unwavering care."
"Trident Aqua Services unites elite crews with complete service integration, and unites three strong companies and cultures into a new value proposition," the newly-branded company stated in a LinkedIn announcement.
