Through a post on its LinkedIn page, the Atlantic Canada Fish Farmers Association (ACFFA) yesterday welcomed Aaron Craig as a new member of its Board of Directors.

The new ACFFA Board Member is the Vice President of Freshwater Operations at Ocean Trout Canada Inc., a company that operates both freshwater hatcheries and marine production sites throughout Atlantic Canada, focusing on producing premium steelhead trout products for the North American seafood market.

About the appointment, the Atlantic Canada Fish Farmers Association said that Craig brings more than 37 years of experience across the aquaculture sector, spanning hatchery and freshwater production, biotechnology, and feed.

In addition, he also owns and operates a brook trout farm in Seeleys Cove, New Brunswick, supplying live stocking fish to the New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources and private clients.

"We look forward to the knowledge and perspective Aaron will bring to the ACFFA Board," the Association stated, commenting on the appointment.

The Atlantic Canada Fish Farmers Association is an industry-funded association providing advocacy and resource support services for the fish farming industry operating in Atlantic Canada.

ACFFA—which also supported the "Aquaculture is Agriculture" campaign, launched by the Canadian Aquaculture Industry Alliance (CAIA) in June 2025—recently sent a letter to Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney urging him to fulfil his election promise to renew and improve the Atlantic Fisheries Fund.
