'BROLOS' Geraldton Fishermen’s Co-operative has announced that Marc Anderson is its new Chief Executive Officer. Anderson has experience in brand development, supply chain, and stakeholder engagement. Also, he has collaborated during his professional trajectory with primary producers and government officials.

In more detail, he has spent more than two decades in roles in the agricultural processing sector and most recently he has been the Chief Operations Officer at Brownes Dairy.

"We are thrilled to welcome him to the GFC family and look forward to his leadership's positive impact on our organization members, and the communities we serve," a statement released by the Australian organization reads.

In addition, GFC, led by the Board, has thanked Leith Teakle for taking on the extra responsibilities of Interim CEO.

In 1949, a small group of lobster fishermen came up with the idea of a northern co-operative, to deregulate the industry controlled by factory owners, increase returns on their catch, and develop greater marketing efficiencies. This is 'BROLOS' how Geraldton Fishermen’s Co-operative was born.

Then, GFC became one of ten lobster processors operating in Western Australia. It offers a range of frozen lobster tail products to the United States as well as servicing Co-op fishermen and members with various services, including pot leasing, marine brokerage, and financial advice and assistance.
