The global leader in animal nutrition and aquafeed Nutreco announced the appointment of Noël Kim as Managing Director for Nutreco Asia. Starting in January 2024, he will be based in Thailand and will head both Skretting's aquaculture business and Trouw Nutrition's animal nutrition business.
The new head of Nutreco Asia holds a degree in Biochemistry from the University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from the University of Virginia. In addition, he is a global business executive with experience in multiple sectors, including education, food, and agriculture, as well as animal nutrition and health.
Prior to joining Nutreco, Noël Kim led the Asia-Pacific Animal Nutrition business line for Evonik as vice president of Asia-Pacific and spent 15 years at Cargill with roles in both the U.S. and Asia. There, according to the company's announcement, "he successfully led several growth-oriented businesses, key strategic transformations, acquisitions and post-merger integrations."
In his new position, Noël Kim will report to Therese Log Bergjord, CEO of Skretting, and will remain closely connected to David Blakemore, CEO of Trouw Nutrition. The former has expressed her satisfaction with the executive's arrival as the new leader in its Asian business.

For his part, Kim was equally excited about his new work.
