Pure Salmon Technology has announced the appointment of Synnøve Helland as its new Commercial Director to oversee sales, tenders, marketing, and communication for the Norwegian company.
Early in her career, Helland served as Director of Nofima's research station in Sunndalsøra. In addition, as a researcher, she studied how the environment and nutrition affect fish welfare.
Previously, she served as Chief Quality Officer at Pure Salmon Technology, where she was globally responsible for quality, sustainability, safety, document control, and internal training, helping the company achieve three ISO certifications.
"I know what it means to produce fish. I've stood at the edge of the tank, worked to improve animal welfare, and witnessed the consequences when technology and biology don’t work together. Developing solutions that truly make a difference, for the customer and the fish, is what drives me. I look forward to working alongside our highly skilled teams and sharing their expertise in designing, building, and commissioning the large and complex infrastructure projects that land-based facilities have become today," she said.
Finally, Managing Director Luke Kellgren-Parker concluded: "To meet the needs of the market, you need to understand the aquaculture industry. That's why giving Synnøve this role was an easy decision. She has deep insight into the challenges of fish production, and a rare ability to turn knowledge into practical solutions that truly elevate the industry."
