As part of the Good Start of the 2025 School Year, the Ministry of Production (PRODUCE) in Peru has launched a new edition of the National Program A Comer Pescado (Let's Eat Fish in English), presented in December 2024, which promotes a healthy diet based on fish consumption among students.

In 2025, the initiative PESCAEduca will reach over 800 schools nationwide, while PESCActívate will reach 262 educational institutions to promote the responsible consumption of hydrobiological products.

During the presentation, teachers, parents, and students from regular basic education participated in nutritious dishes preparation made with fish, and other fun and educational activities.

"At Produce, we aim not only to improve school nutrition but also to raise awareness among families about the importance of including hydrobiological products in their diets. Our commitment is to continue promoting these actions in more educational institutions nationwide," said the Minister of Production, Sergio González."
