Cooke has signed a binding purchase agreement to acquire Slade Gorton, a major distributor, importer, and manufacturer of fresh and frozen seafood in the United States. Slade Gorton, headquartered in Waltham, MA, has been a leading player in the seafood industry for over 95 years, with a reputation for exceptional customer service and a commitment to providing safe and sustainable seafood from around the world.

Kim Gorton, CEO, and Mike Gorton Jr., EVP, Business Development, both fifth-generation family members, will continue to lead Slade Gorton and remain invested in the ongoing growth and success of the business. The company currently offers more than 800 premium seafood products and has partnerships with numerous foodservice and retail customers across North America.
