Renowned fisheries scientist Professor Ray Hilborn formally launches the The University of Highlands and Islands (UHI)'s new Centre for Sustainable Seafood at its Shetland Scalloway Campus.
European countries, particularly France, Italy and Spain, are key export markets for Scotland's seafood producers, and will be the focus of Seafood Scotland's new appointment, Marie-Anne Omnes.
As new data from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) reveals, Scottish salmon accounted for 56% of all fish and seafood exports from Scotland last year and it is also the UK's largest food export.
