The Aquaculture Horizons 2025 conference begins today in Setúbal, Portugal, bringing together international aquaculture experts, researchers and industry leaders to share information and discuss the latest research, trends and innovations in the sector.

The conference, which takes place from 28-30 April, is being hosted by Setúbal Polytechnic University, and covers a variety of themes related to the sustainable development of aquaculture, including artificial intelligence, monitoring and automation, offshore aquaculture, animal welfare, governance and risk management, nutrition and feed, and crustacean and shellfish research.

"This event offers a unique opportunity to learn, share ideas and create new partnerships. Throughout the days, there will be the opportunity to explore relevant topics, listen to presentations from renowned experts and participate in debates that will shape the future of aquaculture," stated Professor Ângela Maria Gomes Teles de Matos Cremon de Lemos, President of Setúbal Polytechnic University, Portugal.
