The Seagriculture EU 2024 conference, the premier event for the seaweed industry, is set to take place in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands, from June 18 to 20, 2024.
This year’s theme, "Bridging Continents," emphasizes the conference's goal of uniting stakeholders from around the world to discuss seaweed cultivation, harvesting, and innovation.

Kicking off on June 18, attendees will embark on an exclusive site visit to Ocean Rainforest, the seaweed farming company which is also the conference's Exclusive Sponsor. This visit provides a unique opportunity to explore the company's production and hatchery operations and witness seaweed cultivation and harvesting firsthand. Participants will also enjoy a scenic boat journey to view the cultivation sites up close.

The main conference agenda unfolds from June 19 to 20, featuring five plenary sessions, two panel discussions, and the new Seaweed Elevator Pitches. The program boasts a diverse international lineup of speakers, including Charlina Vitcheva, Director-General of DG MARE, and Vincent Doumeizel, Senior Advisor Ocean at the United Nations Global Compact.
Industry leaders such as FermentationExperts, Unilever, Cargill, and Future Feed will also be represented. The event will be inaugurated by Høgni Hoydal, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Industry, and Trade of the Faroe Islands.
In addition to the sessions, the conference will host a dynamic trade show, providing a platform for companies to showcase their products and foster collaborations. Networking events, including a conference dinner, will further enhance engagement among participants.
