The Bristol Bay Regional Seafood Development Association (BBRSDA) has promoted Lilani Dunn to Executive Director. She joined the association in 2020 to lead the marketing department.

The BBRSDA defines itself as a fisherman-driven organization to increase the value of the Bristol Bay fishery for the benefit of its members. Also, it develops a marketing program, based on retail and food service promotions in the U.S. and Canada. Finally, it launches quality, sustainability, and fleet outreach programs.

Before joining BBRSDA, Dunn worked at Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute and Orca Bay Foods. She is currently an active member of the National Fisheries Institute, president of the Northwest Fisheries Association, and serves as chair of ASMI’s Domestic Marketing Committee, BBRSDA confirms.

Regarding this announcement, Board Chair Fritz Johnson said: "We, the board, are looking forward to having Lilani in this new role in leading our organization into the future. The marketing program is our single biggest program and we have seen tremendous growth and success under her leadership."

Dunn highlighted the potential of Bristol Bay: "I see a lot of opportunity for Bristol Bay through building meaningful relationships, creative and strategic marketing, and of course, an always-on focus on quality. I look forward to strengthening Bristol Bay’s brand value for the benefit of our members. We know the market situation is daunting right now but I see a lot of opportunity for Bristol Bay to shine."
