Innovafeed has presented its new brand Hilucia™ giving a boost to its already existing range of high-quality ingredients for animal and plant nutrition and with minimal environmental impact.
The biotechnology company seeks to accelerate its production and sales growth which more than doubled last year. This type of initiative has allowed Innovafeed to sign strategic partnerships with major industry leaders such as Cargill.
The Hilucia™ range includes two new products: Protein for Monogastrics and Oil for Aqua. The areas in which it will be developed are pets, livestock, aquaculture, and agriculture.
Thanks to this, the company is involved in the Millennial Salmon project among others, which includes 8 leading organizations across the value chain and aims to bring to market the most sustainable farmed salmon in the world. Also, it has been proven that Hilucia™ Protein in shrimp farming can reduce mortality and increase performance.
Finally, Hilucia™ generates 50% fewer carbon emissions compared to the most commonly used plant and animal proteins, oils, and fertilizers on the market (such as fish meal, vegetable oils, poultry manure, etc.), while also having a lower impact on biodiversity, land use, and water consumption.
