Trouw Nutrition Middle East has announced the appointment of Rob Binnekamp as its new Managing Director for Trouw Nutrition & Skretting Middle East and Africa. He is succeeding Pieter Bastiaanssen.
According to the Nutreco company, Binnekamp has "a wealth of experience and expertise, with a proven track record of exemplary leadership and a deep commitment to driving innovation and success."
On the other hand, Trouw Nutrition expressed its gratitude to Pieter Bastiaanssen for his "outstanding" leadership and contributions to the company. His work has contributed to the actual company's stability.
In addition, the new Managing Director said: "I am passionate about our purpose of Feeding the Future and with our best-in-class teams and solutions, this region can make a massive difference in pursuit of it. Our opportunity to grow and innovate in the Middle East and Africa is immense. We will continue to do this by staying close to our customers and driving our industry forward together."
In the same vein, Dr. David Balikowa, on behalf of the East African Commission (EAC), urged for "private sector development and the elimination of bottlenecks in the value chains to unleash the full potential of the African Aquaculture sector", during the ANAF's 2nd General Congress.
Finally, Bastiaanssen indicated: "As I embark on a new chapter in Europe and Central Asia, I wish to express my deep gratitude to everyone in the Middle East and Africa community—our committed team, as well as our valued partners and clients. Together, we have navigated challenges and celebrated numerous achievements, pushing our industry ahead with a spirit of innovation and mutual support."
