Aker BioMarine has announced the signing of a new commercial contract with a customer for the supply of Superba Krill Oil. This customer, whose name has not been disclosed, is expected to become one of the company’s top three revenue contributors.
The krill company naturally combines Superba Krill Oil with a concentrated blend of four key nutrients to offer a high-quality, differentiated product in the supplements market.
These essential fatty acids are among the most extensively researched nutrients, with a wide range of benefits for your heart, eyes, liver, and brain health.
Regarding this announcement, CEO Matts Johansen said: "Over the past years, we have built a strong global sales team that continues to deliver results, supported by a diversified customer base and solid growth momentum across all markets. The combination of many smaller wins and larger opportunities like this is what drives sustainable, long-term growth for Superba Krill Oil."
According to its last report, between April and June, the company's total revenues were USD 94 million (EUR 86.1 million), an increase of 6% year-on-year (YoY). Also, adjusted EBITDA increased an increase of 35% YoY, translating into USD 29 million (EUR 26.5 million),
Aker BioMarine, which announced the sale of its Feed Ingredients business in July, confirmed that this will be the last quarter in which this segment is included in its results and, therefore, it also provided financial results figures excluding this division.
