Vitapro's brand Salmofood has launched its new nutritional product line, VITA, in Puerto Varas, Chile. This innovative range is specifically designed to support the freshwater phase of salmonid farming.

This diet is specially formulated for fish in a stage of high productive demand and great development potential, aiming to enhance the smolts' ability to adapt to their transfer to seawater.

The formula includes zinc and selenium in organic form, ensuring high mineral bioavailability. Additionally, the inclusion of astaxanthin strengthens the immune and antioxidant systems.

Finally, the formula incorporates ingredients designed to stimulate the function of specialized cells involved in ion exchange and the production of enzymes that participate in this process.

"We thank the representatives of salmon farming companies, clients, collaborators, and our team for joining us in this important step that reflects our commitment from the very beginning. We keep moving forward!" said the leading company in aquaculture feed production in a statement.

In May, Salmofood, in collaboration with Cooke Aquaculture Chile S.A., introduced 'RAW', a new premium diet for organic salmon, developed in the South American country. This new formula emphasizes organic plant ingredients, sustainable marine sources, and natural additives.
