The Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC) and Erling Braut Haaland have confirmed the extension of their collaboration, which began in March 2024, to promote Norwegian seafood in Norway and internationally.
This initiative, running through autumn 2028, will deliver more content and campaigns to strengthen the Council's role in the seafood industry both nationally and internationally.
Additionally, the relationship between the Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC) and the Norwegian Football Federation (NFF), including the men's and women's national teams, will also be extended.
"Erling Braut Haaland gives Norwegian seafood a level of attention and impact that very few others can. Together, we have built a platform that lifts Norwegian seafood far beyond what a regular campaign can achieve. This partnership brings together two of Norway's strongest international brands, and that creates real value over time," says Christian Chramer, CEO of the Norwegian Seafood Council.
The football player was already an ambassador for Norwegian seafood through 'Seafood from Norway' and 'Godfisk', and since its launch, a variety of campaigns and content initiatives have been developed.
Regarding this collaboration, Erling Braut Haaland said: "I'm very happy to continue the collaboration with Norwegian seafood. It feels natural to me, and it's something I'm proud to be a part of."
Moreover, Olav Holst-Dyrnes, Chairman of the Board of the Norwegian Seafood Council, noted: "The long-term nature of this relationship creates value and grows stronger over time, making a significant contribution to our goal of increasing global awareness of and preference for Norwegian seafood."
Last year, NSC appointed five new board members during this year's general meeting. Also, two of the current members, Trond Tuvstein and Knut Helge Vestre, were re-elected for two new terms. The new board is expected to bring broad and solid knowledge of the industry and to serve as an effective guide in turbulent times.
