Tidal has welcomed Kristine Langaunet as its new Senior Sales Executive. The aquaculture AI technology firm established its operations in Norway, appointing former Aquabyte Commercial Director, Anders Fossøy, to lead its expansion.

Langaunet, who has been the Head of Product Marketing Salmon at BioMar and will reside in Trondheim, is part of the team that supports fish farmers in achieving sustainable growth.

"As a Senior Sales Executive, I will bring solid industry knowledge and experience to the table. With a strategic approach, I aim to drive growth and add value to Norway’s aquaculture industry," she expressed regarding her appointment.

Tidal became an independent company in July, after spinning out from host organization X, the Moonshot Factory, owned by Google parent company Alphabet. It was hosted for six years, during which it has been developing AI and machine vision-enabled aquaculture monitoring technology, and has been collaborating with Mowi to develop and pilot the software for much of this time.

Finally, the company's General Manager for Norway, Fossøy, said: "I am deeply grateful to have someone of Kristine's caliber on the team. Her industry expertise and insights are a fantastic addition to a Tidal team that is already thriving. We are seeing great interest from customers and have several exciting developments on the horizon."
