He has also developed projects through his own consultancy firm, Vannfast AS.
Ocean Tales
The Norwegian aquaculture consultancy and commercial development company Ocean Tales has announced the appointment of Trond Severinsen as Senior Consultant and Industry Specialist, where he will support and advise its clients' portfolios.
With more than 40 years of experience in the aquaculture sector, Severinsen has held several senior leadership positions at AKVA group, including Country Manager in Canada, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Head of Technology & Development.
At Ocean Tales, he will focus specifically on business and technology development, strategy and networking, as well as internationalisation and consultancy services related to the export and import of aquaculture technology.
Throughout his professional career at AKVA group, Severinsen demonstrated his expertise across different parts of the world, including Canada, while also contributing to the company's business expansion in Norway, Turkey, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Iran.
Furthermore, he played a key role in the company's listing on the Oslo Stock Exchange in 2006 and later led the Global Development Department, a team of approximately 35 employees responsible for Technology and Development. He also oversaw the development and implementation of new Arctic aquaculture pens, feeding and camera systems, and SCADA systems.
