Cermaq Group's Board of Directors has welcomed three new members who will strengthen the company's strategic position "going forward". Starting August 15, the Norwegian salmon producer board will increase its members from 8 to 15.
The new members are:
Tone Wille
Tone Wille has been the CEO of Posten Bring Group since 2016 and she held senior positions within Posten Bring. Also, she holds the position as chair of the board of Avinor and of International Postal Corporation and she is a member of the board of Norske Skog ASA. She will leave her position as CEO in October 2024.
Nina Udnes Tronstad
Nina Udnes Tronstad is chair of the board at Source Energy and a member of the board at Norges Bank and Prosafe. She was executive vice president at Kværner and Statoil (now Equinor).
Julie Rogers
Julie Rogers is General Manager of the Corporate Communications and Sustainability Department at Mitsubishi Corporation's London Branch. Additionally, Rogers is Chairperson of the Mitsubishi Corporation Fund for Europe and Africa, a philanthropic foundation based in London.
Regarding this announcement, Chairman of the Board Hirofumi Yamazaki expressed: "The new board members bring experience and knowledge from different sectors in Norway and internationally, and their insights will support the corporate governance of Cermaq as well as supporting the future growth."
In March, Cermaq Group announced the continuation of its partnership with the multinational information technology services and consulting company Cognizant. This collaboration aims to simplify, modernize, and secure Cermaq's technology infrastructure.
