Salmon Group strengthens its purchasing and communications team
Salmon Group has announced two new hires: Eirik Korshamn for the newly created position of Purchasing Controller, and Magnus Brekke Nygaard as the new Advisor for Communication and Society. With these hires, the Norwegian Group aims to strengthen the areas of purchasing, communications, and community relations.
"We had many strong applicants for both positions, but Eirik and Magnus clearly stood out. They bring solid expertise and high motivation, so we are looking forward to having them join the team," assured CEO Jan Olav Langeland.
Salmon Group is a network of small and medium-sized, locally owned companies in the aquaculture industry producing salmon and trout. Headquartered in Bergen, the network has shareholders along the Norwegian coast. In 2024, it welcomed three new shareholders to its network.

Eirik Korshamn has specialized in business analytics and sustainable solutions within the maritime sector. As Purchasing Controller, he will further strengthen the purchasing work and help formalize agreements that support sustainable development.
Regarding his hiring, he said: "Working with aquaculture has long been a dream, and the opportunity to do so through a central network like Salmon Group feels just right. I am also looking forward to learning more about the industry, getting to know the shareholder companies, and taking part in the community from August."
Finally, Nygaard was the Chief Sustainability Officer at Visit Bergen, where he led the sustainability strategy and communication. Additionally, he has served as a political advisor at the Confederation of Norwegian Employers (NHO).
"Working in an industry that creates activity and jobs along the entire coast is experienced as both important and meaningful. With experience from business policy, communication, and sustainability, I am looking forward to contributing with my expertise – and to getting to know the people behind the companies in the network," concluded Nygaard.
