Seafood giant Thai Union Group has announced the appointment of three new executives to strengthen its management team. Ratiporn Ratcharoen as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Daniel Laverick as Chief Digital Officer (CDO), and Sumit Narang as Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer (CSTO) will join the company in the coming weeks.
According to Thai Union's release, their incorporation will help drive the company's Strategy 2030 priorities, that is, revitalizing the core business, unlocking new growth platforms, and building stronger capabilities across the organization.
"Strategy 2030 sets a clear direction for Thai Union's next phase of growth, and these appointments strengthen the leadership capabilities we need to deliver it," said Thiraphong Chansiri, President and CEO of Thai Union Group.
"Ratiporn Ratcharoen, Daniel Laverick, and Sumit Narang each bring deep international experience in advancing broad transformation programs to achieve best-in-class performance in their respective domains. Together, they will help us build a more forward-looking, performance-focused, and digitally enabled Thai Union, with the capabilities needed to compete and grow in a rapidly changing global market," he added.
The company claimed these appointments support Thai Union's ambition to become the world's leading marine health and nutrition company, as its purpose, "Healthy Living, Healthy Oceans," remains at the center of its strategy as it strengthens leadership in the capabilities required to drive long-term growth, innovation and transformation

Thai Union's new CFO joins the seafood company as the successor to Ludovic Garnier, who will assume the role of Managing Director, Finance, for Thai Union's Ambient Branded business.
With senior finance leadership experience at companies such as Osotspa, East-West Seed, Diageo, PepsiCo, and Minor International, including Group CFO roles and responsibility for financial strategy, capital allocation, governance and transformation, her track record also includes leading shared services initiatives and ERP transformation initiatives.
In her new position, Ratcharoen will lead Thai Union's financial strategy and operations across the organization, with a mandate to develop a more future-oriented, disciplined, and data-driven finance function.
"She will focus on strengthening performance management, improving capital allocation, modernizing forecasting and business intelligence, and enabling faster, better decision-making across the group," the company stated.

About its new CDO, Thai Union highlighted that he brings more than 25 years of experience in enterprise digital transformation and has held senior management positions at Etihad Airport Services, Zuellig Pharma and Albatha Group.
Laverick has led the technological separation of Etihad Airport Services (currently operating as Velora), overseen major SAP S/4HANA transformations, and built digital and data platforms that have improved operations, automation and decision-making in complex businesses.
In his new role, he will lead Thai Union's enterprise-wide digital and technology agenda, with the mandate to accelerate the company's transformation into a more digitally enabled, data-driven and AI-ready organization.
"He will focus on modernizing technology platforms, scaling automation and advanced analytics, and ensuring digital capabilities support sustainable growth, operational excellence and better customer experiences globally," the statement read.

For his part, Thai Union's new CSTO joins the seafood giant with over 20 years of experience at companies such as Walmart, McKinsey & Company, and C.K. Birla Group.
At Walmart, he led the global sourcing strategy across more than 70 countries. Previously, he had advised senior leaders on strategy, operations, and due diligence processes in global roles across the United States, Europe, and Asia.
Regarding his duties in his new position, the company said that Narang will work closely with the CEO and business leaders "to translate Strategy 2030 into execution across Thai Union's business units, identify growth opportunities and drive transformation across the group."
Both Sumit Narang and Daniel Laverick will take up their new roles on August 1. Ratiporn Ratcharoen will follow shortly after, on August 17.
