Andfjord-Salmon
Andfjord Salmon has announced the appointment of Trond Rismo as its new Commercial Director to oversee sales, marketing, logistics, and the go-to-market strategy, initially focused on the business-to-business (B2B) segment.
Throughout his professional career, he has held several senior positions at Norway Seafoods. Specifically, he spent nine years at the Norwegian Seafood Council, serving as Industry Manager for cod and Business Relations Manager. In addition, Rismo has led the Seafood Council's work in Portugal.
Regarding this opportunity, the new commercial director said: "We are experiencing huge demand for Norwegian salmon in the international market, and this market position can continue to grow. With its unique concept and story, Andfjord Salmon has great potential to differentiate itself in terms of both sustainability, technology, and origin."
Moreover, Andfjord Salmon's CEO, Martin Rasmussen, said: "I am very pleased to have Trond Rismo join the Andfjord team. He has extensive expertise in exporting seafood and has the right competence for Andfjord Salmon at our current stage and heading into the future. Trond knows the seafood industry well, both from the production side and from the international market side. His skills and experience will undoubtedly be a great strength for us."
Andfjord Salmon's latest operational update, published in March, stated that its land-based flow-through aquaculture facility at Kvalnes, Andøya, is nearing completion. The total licensed production capacity at Kvalnes is thus set to rise from 19,000 tons to 23,700 tons.
